  • Whose prejudices?

    The usual wham bam is supplemented by a go at everyone who understands the science behind global warming. The plot is ok for the first half of the book, but the second half seems rushed and convenient, telescoped at the end to wrap things up. Somewhere along the way the authors prejudices got mixed up with the plot - a shame because most of the other books have had relatively 'possible' narratives. Hopefully the next book might return to something better. This one is still worth reading but don't expect a masterpiece - very little fleshing out of characters to off set the usual description and minute detail of every weapon that appears.
